The Irvinestown Lantern Display for Marie Curie is back, with lanterns available in Mahon's Hotel and Millar Meats, Irvinestown, ahead of the Marie Curie Twilight Lantern Display, that takes place this Friday, September 30, from 7pm to 8pm.

Lanterns are to be designed and returned to the hotel by noon this Friday, and these will be taken to Necarne Estate.

Participants are asked to assemble at the estate at 7pm, at which point a short walk of the grounds will commence, and upon returning to the path all lanterns will be lit. Then there will be a moment of reflection.

This promises to be a lovely event and a great opportunity to remember those who have passed away from across the Irvinestown community.

Volunteers are also needed to help out with bucket collections on the street before and after the walk. If you'd like to help, please email info@mahonshotel.co.uk, or ring the hotel and submit your interest.
