The Save Our SWAH services group are asking for volunteers to organise meetings in areas that have not previously had a meeting.
So far, meetings have taken place in Enniskillen, Lisnaskea and Derrygonnelly.
Speaking of the importance of meetings being held in the local community regarding the threat to the SWAH, Helen Hamill, of the group, said: “If you have an area that you live in that there hasn’t been a meeting held, please identify this [need for meetings], because we need this to go out to local clubs, local sports [teams], local Orange Halls, local churches – absolutely everywhere.
“This is a cross-community campaign. If you have a heart attack, it doesn’t matter where you come from or who you voted for.”
Future public meetings to be held by the Save Our SWAH Services group will take place as follows.
- Gillaroo Court, Garrison, Thursday, November 10, at 7.30pm.
- Courthouse Community Centre, Newtownbuter, Friday, November 11, at 7pm.
- St. Aidan’s High School, Derrylin, Tuesday, November 15, at 8pm.
- A ‘Ring of Steel’ demonstration at the SWAH, November 26.
- A public rally, at the Broadmeadow, Enniskillen, December 2.
