The town of Enniskillen was lit up and sparkling on Saturday December 10 as hundreds of farmers got out on their tractors for a good cause.

There was plenty of sights and sounds in the county town as this fundraiser for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) got under way. This now annual event attracted a large number of people to Enniskillen to admire all of the machinery on offer despite the freezing tempatures.

The range of tractors and other machinery on show included New Holland tractors, Massey Ferguson tractors, John Deere tractors and a whole host of other models. Almost every tractor on show had a twinkly light with some drivers going the extra mile and bedazzling their tractors in Christmas lights.

Others had festive decoration with a number of tractors wearing antlers, some tractors had Christmas trees attached to the front or back which brought much joy to the onlookers.

An AANI spokesperson confirmed that to date £6800 has been raised so far but there's still some money coming in and the Just Giving page is still available to donate to.

The spokesperson added: “There were over 200 tractors which was amazing on such a cold night with difficult driving conditions.”
