Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is inviting hospitality businesses and experience providers to get involved in a pilot initiative to support a new Public Art Walking Tour in Enniskillen, and the already established Omagh Heritage Music Trail.

The walking tours aim to highlight key arts and heritage aspects of each town to encourage out of season visitation, improve the visitor experience, and support town centre recovery.

Hospitality and experience providers can add value by way of enhancing each of the guided walking tours. Any providers who are interested in being involved are encouraged to complete an Expression of Interest.

Speaking about the initiative, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Barry McElduff, said: “Enniskillen and Omagh town centres have a wealth of culture, heritage and arts to explore.

“The walking tours will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase this and offer an additional visitor experience, particularly during the off-peak season.

“I would encourage businesses to support this pilot initiative to bring valuable local knowledge and insight to enhance the tours.”

Places are limited, with preference will given to providers that have natural linkages with the new Public Art that was installed as part of the recent Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme and the Showband era of the Omagh Heritage Music Trail.
