Next Monday evening, March 20, Seskinore Rural Community Group will host a historical talk at 7.30pm in Seskinore Presbyterian Church Hall.

Local historian Jack Johnston will deliver an informative talk about the Savile family of Rutherford in Nottinghamshire, who owned an estate of 40 townlands in County Tyrone from 1722 until 1811.

The talk will focus on the impact of Sir George Savile on the townlands of Froughmore, Kilgort and Tullyvalley, all of which are near Seskinore.

The talk, which is hosted by Seskinore Rural Community Group, starts at 7.30pm and admission is free.

All are welcome to what promises to be an interesting journey through the history of the local area.

Light refreshments will be served after the talk, with further details available on the group’s Facebook page. For further information, email seskinorercg@gmail.com.
