There has been widespread sadness expressed following the death of Miss Margaret Elizabeth (Gretta) Johnston from Killyblane, Florencecourt who passed away at the South West Acute Hospital on March 13, 2023.
Gretta is a native of Florencecourt and previously enjoyed good health.
She was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Johnston. Gretta was born at Killyblane and attended the Old Gate School before starting to work on the home farm.
Gretta’s funeral service was led by Rev. Ruth West at St. John’s Church, Florencecourt. The hymns were ‘Safe in the Arms of Jesus’, ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’, ‘Rock of Ages’ and ‘Abide with Me’.
Gretta was predeceased by her brothers John, Bob and Bertie for whom she cared for and cherised.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by Keith Elliott (WT Morrison).
