There’s another busy range of events coming up at the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen, offering something for all ages in coming weeks.

For starters, why not join instructor Catherine McManus for a five-week yoga course for adults, starting at 10am on Wednesday, May 3?

This mixed-ability class is suitable for both beginners and regular yogis. The class will focus on improving posture, strength and wellbeing, with participants asked to wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat and blanket.

Then on Thursday, May 4, the Ulster Youth Opera are back at the Ardhowen with another fun singing and acting workshop at 5pm for children aged between 8 to 13 years old, and at 7pm for those aged between 14 to 18.

Professional singers, directors and pianists will help to build vocal, acting and movement skills, while learning about this amazing art form.

No music-reading ability or singing grades are required – just join in and enjoy the magical world of opera.

Paint the Mayfly Dragonflies with Fermanagh Art Club takes place on Saturday, May 13 at 10am and 1.30pm.

In this creative workshop for kids aged between 7 to 14 years old, professional artist and art teacher Gail Turner will guide the children to learn a range of painting techniques that will help build skills in the medium of acrylics.

Each tutorial focuses on a different painting, providing participants with new opportunities to learn some important art principles in a fun way.

Just a few seats still remain available for the upcoming Summer Country With The Stars Show on Thursday, May 18 at 8pm.

The diverse bill includes Patrick Feeney, Declan Nerney, Gerry Guthrie, Owen Mac, Boxcar Brian and Curtis Magee, who will be accompanied by the fabulous Keltic Storm band, making this a show Country fans certainly won’t want to miss.

Bruiser Theatre Company presents their critically-acclaimed production of ‘Mojo Mickybo’ by Belfast playwright, Owen McCafferty, on Friday, May 19 at 8pm.

Set in Belfast over the summer of 1970, Mojo and his mate Mickybo are two nine-year-old boys from opposing sides of the sectarian divide.

They are “thick as two small thieves” with the violence of The Troubles only obliquely impacting on them – until finally their friendship is destroyed by it.

Note that this performance contains strong language and is suitable only for 14+ years.

The Legend of Luke Kelly on Saturday, May 20 at 8pm is an authentic show celebrating the life and songs of the acclaimed Folk singer.

Created and performed by the renowned Chris Kavanagh, the show is a journey through Luke’s music and has received rave reviews in Ireland and abroad, and has racked up regular sell-out performances at top venues such as Vicar Street, Dublin and Cork Opera House.

Another acclaimed musical performance comes courtesy of The Kilkennys, whose Folk music has already proved to be a hit with Northern audiences over recent years.

The four-piece’s performance later this month on Friday, May 26 at 8pm will surely delight music fans with an unforgettable, energy-filled, toe-tapping and hand-clapping night of entertainment sprinkled with popular Folk songs and ballads.
