Comic and Pop-Culture fans are in for a treat again this June when ComicFest returns to Enniskillen next month – and this year, ComicFest will hold its first two-day event as the popular event continues to go from strength to strength.

Since launching in 2016, ComicFest has enjoyed the support of Blake’s of the Hollow in the bustling market town, with the bar hosting regular ComicFest-related pub quizzes and evening events on the weekend itself.

Many of the comic creator guests look forward to the Fermanagh trip every year, with a visit to Blakes always on the agenda.

The popular bar’s general manager, Mark Edwards, appreciates the growing recognition that Enniskillen ComicFest has in the comics industry.

“It brings so many people to the town from all over, and we see familiar faces coming back year after year.

“It’s a credit to Paul [Trimble] and the team – they organise a great event and have really put Enniskillen on the map. We are proud to be associated with ComicFest; long may it run.”

In recognition of the support Blake's give to ComicFest, the organising committee presented a framed illustration of classic characters Dennis The Menace and Gnasher, by Nigel Parkinson, a regular artist on the long-running strip in The Beano – just one of the guests attending in June.

On Saturday, June 3, St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall will host the event as usual, with Sunday, June 4 to see ComicFest move to the Enniskillen Hotel.

Guests this year also include Garth Ennis (creator of Preacher, and The Boys), Rob Williams (writer of the new Roy of the Rovers), John Wagner (creator of Judge Dredd) and Keith Burns (award-winning aviation artist).
