Carrybridge RNLI members were delighted to receive a donation of £1,500 from the Erne Boat Rally Committee recently, with the funds presented on Thursday, May 4 raised from the annual boat rally gathering that took place on Lough Erne last June.

More than 50 cruisers attended the Erne Boat Rally weekend in early June, 2022, with approximately 140 people having a very enjoyable cruising experience on both Upper and Lower Lough Erne.

The £1,500 cheque was presented by the Erne Boat Rally Committee members to some of the crew of the Carrybridge RNLI Lifeboat Station.

Stephen Scott, Lifeboat Operations Manager at Carrybridge RNLI, said: “The funds raised are vital to the continuing work of the Carrybridge RNLI on Lough Erne, and will assist with future lifesaving operations.

“It was very much appreciated that the Erne Boat Rally committee continued with raising vital funds for their local RNLI lifeboat station.”
