A driver who was observed by police losing control of his car and almost crashing into parked cars has been given a driving disqualification.
On April 29, 2021, police were on mobile patrol of the Irvinestown Road area of Enniskillen when they saw a BMW turn drive from Hollyhill Road onto the Irvinestown Road.
The driver – Nathan Armstrong (23), with an address of Edenmore Heights, Tempo – appeared to lose control of the car and almost crashed into parked cars, Enniskillen Magistrates Court heard on Monday.
The officers, in an unmarked car, immediately stopped the car and spoke to Armstrong. He was cautioned but made no reply, the court heard.
Armstrong's solicitor, Michael Fahy, in brief submissions on his client's behalf, asked the court to impose a short disqualification that would not interfere with a driving disqualification Armstrong was already serving.
District Judge Alana McSorley handed Armstrong a three-month driving ban and a £150 fine for driving without due care and attention.
