There's plenty to entertain at the Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen this month.

On Friday, June 9, David Lyttle presents up-and-coming NI jazz talent, with Jazzlife featuring David Lyttle and Jazz Juniors. His return to the Ardhowen Theatre will see him perform alongside many of these young talents; having previously worked with jazz icons from Joe Lovano to Dave Liebman to Kurt Rosenwinkel and collaborated in hip hop with Talib Kweli and spoken word with Liam Neeson. Come along to the Gallery Bar for 7pm to see these talented young people in action.

On Saturday, June 10, join the Ardhowen in celebrating one of the greatest sitcoms ever made, as we host 'Celebration of Father Ted' with Joe Rooney. A hosted screening of a classic episode, a Q&A, a sandwich-making session, an all-inclusive ‘Lovely Girls Competition’ and a dancing priests competition – and the evening wouldn’t be complete without a sing-along to 'My Lovely Horse'! Come and meet Joe and immerse yourself in the very silly delights of Father Ted. Contains strong language, suitable for 15 years and over.

Music in Fermanagh presents 'Songs and Divas' on Tuesday, June 13 at 8pm; featuring Mezzo-Soprano Carolyn Dobbin and Ruth McGinley on piano. Carolyn Dobbin trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and Ruth McGinley studied at the Royal Academy and Royal College in London. Both having performed at many famous venues in Ireland, Britain and Europe. Music will include German lieder, Handel, Irish art songs, operatic arias, including a Joan Trimble aria, Joan Trimble songs, Howard Ferguson folk songs, opera pops and other fun songs!

On Thursday, June 15, the Ardhowen is excited to welcome an opera for young people and families; 'Borka – The Adventures of a Goose with no Feathers'. There will be two showings available, one at 11am and one at 6pm. During the opera, you will be transported to the marshes on the East Coast of England and meet Borka and her family. Experience Mr. and Mrs. Plumpster’s joy at the birth of their goslings, Dr Goose’s shocking revelation, Borka’s attempts to fit in with her brothers and sisters, despite her differences, and her desolation when her family fly south for the winter and she is left behind. Travel with her as she takes her destiny into her own wings, and embarks on a journey of discovery, true friendship, and a forever home. This performance is suitable for (Foundation and Key Stage 1) children aged five to eight years and their families. Please note a haze machine will be used during this performance

Jane from Little Mess Fermanagh presents an hour of creative messy play celebrating Father’s Day for children aged six months to five years, on Friday, June 16 at 10.30am. Messy play gives little ones a range of sensory and learning experiences, is a great bonding activity with dad and best of all, you don’t have to clear up afterwards! There will also be a crafts corner for older siblings aged six to 10 years who also want to attend. Please note that parents/carers must stay with the children throughout the session.

Ardhowen is excited to see the return of Superstar wrestling also on Friday, June 16, at 7.30pm. Bringing a host of top American wrestling stars to the ring to face the very best of home-grown talent and fans’ favourites, in a two-hour rip-roaring entertainment for all the family to enjoy. If you’ve been before, you know how good it gets. If you haven’t, give it a try; we guarantee that the kids will be talking about it for weeks afterwards.
