THE Open Week at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise's Enniskillen Campus attracted over 2,000 visitors.

During the week large numbers of school-children visited the College where they gained a greater insight into life in the countryside. Enniskillen staff treated the young visitors to a tour of the living green classroom which is the College estate.

In addition, the display of small animals including ponies, piglets and chicks proved a huge attraction for the children.

Prospective students and their families took the opportunity to visit the Enniskillen Cmapus to view the excellent facilities and discuss the range of courses on offers for 2003/2004.

Enniskillen provides the widest range of equine education programmes in Ireland.

Once again the highlight of Open Week was the ever popular Family Night, where members of the local community voted with their feet to support the College by attending in record numbers.

Local primary schools participated in a keenly contested soccer competition and Ballyreagh Silver Band helped create a truly festive atmosphere as they filled the air with the strains of popular tunes.

Fermanagh Young Farmers Club were kept busy at the barbeque as a steady stream of customers were drawn towards the aroma of their cooking and the promise of a tasty bite.
