Everyone from the Enniskillen and Fermanagh community is invited to a special danceathon in Enniskillen on Friday night (June 23).
Hosted by peacebuilding group UISCE (Understanding Ireland Socially Culturally Economically), the danceathon will take place in their base of the Clinton Centre where they hope to raise £10,000 to reopen the ground floor of the Clinton Centre to the public.
UISCE Director Keith McNair said: "The plan is for the ground floor to be used in the evening as a rehearsal/performance space for local music and singing groups and, in the afternoon, once staff are in place, school students from all school backgrounds can meet here after school, get a snack, do some homework, socialise, even while waiting for the bus home.”
As part of the danceathon, participants will learn different dance styles including the Cha Cha Cha, and Samba, as well as other dance styles.
Instruction will be provided by Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre, NI Kangoo Club Fitness Dance as well as Pat and Mary Moohan, who will lead Ceile dancing.
The danceathon takes place on June 23 from 7pm. For further information, email info@uisce.org.
