Sheila, a native of Fermanagh and a graduate of the University of Ulster, is best known for being ‘the Queen of collage’ and although the works are predominantly collage pieces, this is a multimedia exhibition incorporating narrative and text where possible.

The series of works featured in the exhibition are inspired by legends and landscapes making the Ardhowen Theatre an ideal venue with stunning views of the Lough Erne landscape and having hosted many legends of the arts and community over the years.

Speaking about her work, Sheila said: “Working in collage is like painting with dry paint, you can’t use water or oil to mix the colours. You need to find the colours and text in different media which blend together.”

The exhibition will be launched on Wednesday 19 July 2023 at 7pm by renowned artist, architect and writer, Michael Raphael Donnelly. Michael was a student of TP Flanagan in Belfast and is a committed champion of all arts.
