'Cold Shot' – a high-energy Blues Rock band formed in 2022 by a group of school friends from County Fermanagh – have recently qualified for the Irish Semi-Final of the European Blues Championships, to be held at Arthur's Blues & Jazz Club in Dublin on August 9.

To celebrate this achievement, the band – which features Stephen Brennan (guitar and vocals), Charles Knox (drums), Eoin Parkinson (bass) and Christian Volkmann (harmonica and percussion) – will be throwing a Blues Rock Concert in Culley's Bar, Enniskillen on Saturday, August 5, with doors opening at 8pm.

The event will be free for all to attend and will include a night full of Blues, Funk, Soul and Rock 'n' Roll.

Within their repertoire, Cold Shot play "100 years of the Blues" in their own signature style, incorporating influences from Delta Blues, 1970s R&B, Punk and Funk.

Key influences of the band include Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers and The Doors.

After a successful first year on the Blues circuit in Ireland, the band are on the lookout for new venues and festivals to play, with a host of original material in the works and plans to take on Europe in the near future.
