The Cancer Connect NI (CCNI) Devenish Dragons marked a significant milestone in their journey by taking part in their first competitive event since formation in June, 2022.

In response to research indicating the numerous benefits of Dragon Boat racing for cancer patients, CCNI founded the Devenish Dragons in Enniskillen and the club has witnessed considerable success and interest, becoming an inclusive space that offers paddling opportunities to individuals who previously had limited access to water-based activities.

Participants have experienced a range of physical, emotional and social benefits and many have identified to CCNI overall improvements in their physical and emotional well-being.

On Sunday, July 30, the Enniskillen-based crew enjoyed a day of racing as they participated in the Donegal Dragon Regatta in Donegal Town.
