A number of services will take place across Fermanagh this Sunday, November 12, as communities gather to mark Remembrance Sunday. The events include the following.
ENNISKILLEN
There will be an Act of Remembrance ceremony at the Cenotaph on Sunday at 11am.
The Royal British Legion’s Service of Remembrance will take place at St. Macartin’s Cathedral, Enniskillen and will be live-streaming which can be accessed through St. Macartin’s Cathedral website, at www.enniskillencathedral.com).
CLOGHER VALLEY
The Royal British Legion Augher/Clogher Branch will gather at the British Legion Hall at 2pm on Sunday.
The parade to the Cenotaph will take place at 2.30pm, followed by the parade to St. Macartan’s Cathedral for the service at 3pm.
Clogher Valley Free Presbyterian Church are hosting a Remembrance Service at 7pm.
FIVEMILETOWN
There will be a short Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony at 3pm at The Community War Memorial.
This will be followed by a parade along the normal route, led by Cavanaleck Pipe Band, and proceeding to St. John’s Church of Ireland for the service at 3.30pm.
The parade will then make its way back to Fivemiletown RBL.
BROOKEBOROUGH
The parade will step off at 10.45am, led by Maguiresbridge Silver Band.
There will be an open air service held at the War Memorial at 11am, followed by the return parade.
LISNASKEA
The parade will set forth from Archdale Hall, Lisnaskea at 10.30am, proceeding to Holy Trinity Church of Ireland for an 11am service, with the return parade beginning at noon.
IRVINESTOWN
A parade will set off in Irvinestown from St. Paul’s Primary School at 2.45pm, making its way to the 3.30pm service at Derryvullan North Church of Ireland.
BALLINAMALLARD
The parade will proceed from the flagpole at 11am, heading over to the two churches: Magheracross Parish Church, and Ballinamallard Methodist Church, for an 11.30am service.
