As Christmastime approaches, Caritas, the vibrant mixed-voice choir, is gearing up to launch the festivities with a heartwarming event at the Graan on Friday, December 1, at 8 pm. We invite you to attend, admission is free, and in the spirit of giving, we encourage you to contribute to our local food bank. Donations can be made on the night, and for your convenience, a link will be shared on Caritas social media pages for online donations to this worthy cause. Let's come together to make a meaningful impact on our community.

It will be an evening of Christmas Carols, intertwined with readings chosen by Fr. Brian D’Arcy. This event not only promises to bring alive the spirit of the festive season but also aims to make a meaningful impact on our community during a time when many are facing challenges.

Caritas, whose journey began in 2014 as a small group with a simple desire to sing, has since flourished under the guidance of musical director Helen Hamill. The choir has organically grown into a talented ensemble featuring not only choral performances but also show-casing the individual talents of its members, traditional musicians and vocal soloists.

Known as the "Choir with the Big Heart", Caritas has successfully raised over £15,000 for local charities. This Christmas, they are excited to extend their musical reach to enchant the audience in the Marble Arch Caves on Wednesday, December 6, with the first tour starting at 6:30 pm. This marks a historic moment for Caritas as it's their inaugural performance in the caves, promising an enchanting and magical experience for all who attend.

Continuing their festive journey, Caritas will spread holiday cheer in Dunnes Stores, Enniskillen on Saturday, December 9, between 11am and 1pm. Shoppers can look forward to a lively and heartwarming performance as Caritas belts out their festive favourites, creating a joyful atmosphere that will add merriment to the shopping experience. The choir's musical talents will not only entertain but also contribute to a worthy cause, supporting BrightStarz in their mission to enhance the lives of individuals with learning or physical disabilities through leisure and arts activities.

The grand finale of Caritas's festive calendar will be a concert on Thursday, December 21, at 8pm in the Ardhowen. Attendees are invited to join the celebration, with a donation going to the Aisling Centre, a professional counselling and psychotherapy service based in Enniskillen. Booking details can be found on our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram.

So, mark your calendars, gather your loved ones, and join Caritas in spreading joy and supporting local charities this Christmastime. Let's make this a December to remember as we come together for a musical celebration that warms the heart and uplifts our community.
