In observance of the National Day of Reflection, families and individuals bereaved by the Covid-19 pandemic will come together to remember their loved ones this weekend.

The event will take place on Sunday, March 3 from 3 to 6pm at Castle Island, Enniskillen, and is coordinated by Memory Stones of Love, CRUSE Bereavement NI, and Marie Curie NI.

It will offer an opportunity for those who have lost loved ones during the pandemic to share experiences and find solace in each other's company.

The gathering will commence at 3pm with a special craft event on Castle Island, accessible via a brief boat ride on the Island Discovery boat.

Attendees will have the chance to create personalised crafts. A moment of reflection will commence at approximately 5pm.

Participants are encouraged to share verses, memories, or musical pieces in remembrance of their loved ones.

Additionally, a memory tree will be available for placing the names of those who have passed away, and following this, a moment of silence will be observed.

As part of the National Day of Reflection, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council have also agreed to light up Council buildings in yellow to mark the day.

Places are limited and booking is available emailing stonesoflove2021@gmail.com
