Three people – a woman and two men – have been returned for trial in connection with alleged multiple sexual assaults of a female just under two years ago.

The woman, Nicole Scott (29) from Holly Lane, Londonderry, is charged with 12 counts of sexually touching the complainant on May 19, 2022.

She initially appeared alone in court last year and was later joined by one of the men, Colin Mervyn Gould (44), from Coolcullen Meadow, Enniskillen, who is accused of 12 counts of aiding and abetting sexual assault.

A second man, Thomas Henry McCaffrey (54), from Market Street, Enniskillen, was added to the case last week and, like Gould, is charged with aiding and abetting Scott to commit 12 sexual assaults on the complainant.

All three appeared for a committal hearing at Enniskillen Magistrates Court, where a prosecuting lawyer said there is a case to answer, which was agreed by District Judge Alana McSorley.

The circumstances surrounding the case were not disclosed during the short hearing, where the accused spoke only to confirm their identities, and that they understood their respective charges.

They declined to call witnesses or give evidence on their own behalf at this stage in proceedings.

Judge McSorley remanded all three on continuing bail, with conditions including residence at addresses known to police, and no contact by any means with the complainant.

They are to appear for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court on April 18.
