Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have emerged as heroes after they rescued a driver in Enniskillen who had fallen victim to a diabetic seizure.

Responding to a report of an intoxicated driver, PSNI officers arrived at the scene to find the driver unconscious at the wheel, his airway compromised. Observing sweets and a sugary drink nearby, the officers quickly recognised the signs of a diabetic emergency.

Without hesitation, the PSNI opened the driver's airway and administered whatever sugar was at hand until paramedics arrived. The collaborative efforts of the PSNI and paramedics proved instrumental in reviving the unconscious driver, demonstrating the crucial role they play in emergencies.

"All our teams will keep doing what we do to keep you safe," said the PSNI, in post on social media.
