The beautiful grounds of Necarne Castle proved perfect for a fun-filled colour run recently as lots of children took part in an event arranged by Enniskillen Integrated Primary School (EIPS).
The EIPS pupils – and some plucky teachers – had great fun as they took part in the colour run held on Sunday, March 10, with the Mother’s Day event seeing plenty of mums and dads, and other grown-ups and teachers in attendance to cheer on the runners and join in the fun.
Explosions of colour and laughter alike filled the air as the colour run participants made their way around the historic grounds, with the day’s overcast skies and lighting offset by the bright, vibrant hues of the increasingly colour-coated kids (and adults) taking part.
EIPS Parents’ Council had been keen to get the message across that the day’s event was all about having fun, and as everyone ran and walked their way around, there were certainly some great lessons to be had in sharing an exciting, fun-filled time together for all involved.
For the patient parents and grown-ups waiting to collect everyone after the event and bring them home (usually on car seats covered with old sheets and similar), coffee was on hand to help with having a cuppa and a chat at another excellent EIPS event.
