Marston (Holdings) Ltd is to take over enforcement operations within Fermanagh and Omagh District Council's 13 pay and display public car parks, effective from Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

One of the noticeable changes for users of these car parks will be the introduction of Parking Attendants donning a distinctive blue uniform. While there will be minor alterations to the wording on printed Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs), the fundamental responsibilities and legal authority of the attendants will remain unchanged, ensuring the validity of any issued PCNs.

Additionally, the new contract brings about the implementation of a modernised cashless parking system across the council's 13 pay and display car parks in Enniskillen and Omagh. The existing Just Park app will be replaced by the 'RingGo' app, offering users the convenience of paying for parking through their mobile devices, pay stations at the car parks, or via telephone.

To adapt to these changes, car park users are urged to download the RingGo app onto their smartphones and utilise it starting next month. Furthermore, existing car park season tickets, already accessible at most pay and display car parks, will remain available for purchase in advance, with previously issued tickets remaining valid until their expiration date.

The Department for Infrastructure will retain responsibility for on-street parking enforcement, meaning 'red coat' Parking Attendants will continue to patrol the streets.
