More than 600 primary school children attended an interactive safety event in Fintona.
The Bee Safe event at the Ecclesville Centre provided practical learning for the pupils from schools across the Fermanagh and Omagh District to better understand safety issues and how to respond to them.
The event, organised and funded by Fermanagh and Omagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), ran from March 19 to 21.
Organisations that collaborated with Fermanagh and Omagh PCSP include Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, Police Service of Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Electricity Networks, Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Translink.
Each organisation presented different situations with an aim to make children consider potential hazards and appropriate actions.
The event featured interactive sessions intended to involve pupils by having them participate in simulated situations in a controlled environment.
This method of learning places emphasis on teaching the children practical ways of preventing and coping with potentially dangerous situations, moving away from mere classroom instruction.
Councillor Tommy Maguire, chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh PCSP, said: "This is an excellent event that aims to develop awareness on a range of important issues as young people prepare for the transition from primary to secondary education.
"I hope that all the young people who attended the event take on board the important messages to help keep themselves, their friends, and their families safe.
"I would like to commend the delivery partners for their continued commitment to this annual event, Bee Safe".
