THE hilarious tale of a bachelor farmer's quest to find a wife will soon be told on the Ardhowen stage.
'Marrying Mike' by Jimmy Keary will be performed by The Knocks Drama Group, with shows taking place over two nights on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1.
The play, which is directed by Una Rice and Marty McManus, follows the exploits of eligible bachelor farmer, Mike Fogarty, who suddenly announces that he is looking for a wife.
Mike's scheming friend, Barney O'Toole, then plots to hook him up with his good-time sister, Colette, for what will be a very short wedding.
However, Mike's friend, Kate O'Sullivan, discovers the scheme and is determined to stop it...
Performances at the Ardhowen Theatre start at 8pm on both nights, with a run time of 1 hour 30 minutes. Full orice tickets are £12; concessions, £10.
