Motorists are facing disruption due to the closure of several roads in the area to allow works to be carried out.

Herts County Council has posted notice of its intention to make orders to shut the roads in the Public Notice Portal which is used to access all of the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.

Here are notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in Watford, Bushey and Aldenham:

Roads in Aldenham, Bushey and Watford – temporary closure

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to close the following roads to allow utility service works to be carried out.

If made, the order will come into force on May 13 and be valid for up to 18 months, but the restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the road.

- Hilfield Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Summerhouse Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 233m.

- Berry Grove Lane, Bushey from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.2 Berry Grove Cottages north westwards for a distance of approximately 122m.

- Park Avenue, Bushey from its junction with B462 Hartspring Lane north westwards to its junction with Otterspool Way, a distance of approximately 122m.

- Otterspool Way, Watford from its junction with Park Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.

- Hillfield Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Sandy Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 214m.
