The Impartial Reporter understands that Fermanagh's request to have Sunday's NFL Division Two game against Clare in Ennis postponed has been turned down following a meeting of CCCC today.

A Covid-19 outbreak within Ryan McMenamin's squad saw ten players return positive tests while another seven were forced to self isolate having been deemed to have been close contacts.

Fermanagh officials sought a postponement on the grounds of player welfare with most of the 17 affected players only able to return late this week or at the weekend.

However, CCCC have today decided that the game will go ahead as scheduled.

Fermanagh County Chairman, Greg Kelly said after the request was lodged that "we will review things once we have a decision on the request."
