Ronan McCaffrey and Conor Murphy have been named captain and vice captain respectively of the St. Michael’s MacRory Cup squad for this season’s competition.
Ulster Schools’ GAA announced last week that they have cancelled plans to start competitions in mid November with the aim to start mapping out a schedule to get competitions underway in January, Covid-19 permitting.
However, St. Michael’s coach Dom Corrigan has opted to name his captain and vice captain for whenever the action does commence.
Teemore’s Ronan McCaffrey will captain the side while Conor Murphy of Enniskillen has been named vice captain and Corrigan feels that both players bring good leadership qualities to the table.
“They are two great young lads with good leadership qualities and all that will be needed over the next few weeks when we have no activities.
“Ronan and Conor are well worthy of the captaincy and vice captaincy and both have been very good servants to the school,” said Corrigan.
