Dom Corrigan will return to his roots next year after he was confirmed as Kinawley manager, taking over the reins from Ollie Fay.

Corrigan led Ballinamore to the Leitrim title this season and is looking forward to the challenge of managing his home club.

The Brian Borus have made good strides in recent years and the St. Michael’s Hogan Cup winning manager is hoping to build on the work that has been done at the club.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge on home territory,” said Corrigan.

“I always wanted to come back to Kinawley at some stage, it was where I grew up and played all my football at.”

“They have made great progress over the last number of years and I’m hoping to build on the solid work that previous management teams have put in place there,” he added.

Derrygonnelly are the kingpins of Fermanagh football having secured a sixth title in seven years and as they showed last Saturday with their win over Dromore, they are up there with the best in the province. And Corrigan says that is the challenge for Kinawley, to try and get up to the Harps level.

“It is going to be a challenge, we have been pushing this last few years but I think Derrygonnelly showed last Sunday that they are well ahead of the rest so the challenge is to try and match that standard or get as close to that standard as possible.” he said.

Roslea are also set for a change at the top after Peter McGinnity stepped down from the position. McGinnity had led his home club to three titles in a previous spell as manager and after another four years this time around has opted to step down. The Shamrocks are currently working on filling the position.

Ederney though have comfirmed that Mickey Cassidy will remain at the helm for 2022. Cassidy led Ederney to the title in 2020 and they were only beaten after extra time in a replay by Derrygonnelly this season.
