Despite going 1-0 down to relegation threatened Omagh Hospitals, Kesh responded in emphatic style scoring the next five goals, three courtesy of Nathan Cashel, to claim the three points.

The win keeps Kesh in third spot in Division One and continues their recent rich vein of form which leaves them unbeaten in eight games.

For Kesh manager, Scott Robinson, despite the convincing win he was disappointed with his side’s performance in the first half.

“We were far from ourselves in the first half but to be fair they came out all guns blazing which is natural because they are fighting for their lives,” he said.

“They were fit and very tight and it was a try and break them down job. I have to give them credit.”

But it was better second half: “Once we got out in the second half we were excellent. We created a lot of chances. Rocket [Ryan Campbell] missed a few, Nathan [Cashel] missed a couple, Lee [Walker] had a couple of chances.

“When Danny [Wilson] came on his pace and directness sort of scared the life out of them.”

Looking ahead to the Saturday’s game against Enniskillen Rangers, Robinson sees it as another big game.

Robinson has boosted his squad for the game with the signing of Mark McAuley.

“We have worked so hard to get our squad half fit and get our game sorted out. Rangers is the next game and it’s all we look forward to. We signed Mark McAuley and he will be in the squad for Saturday. It will be good to get him back.”

After going behind at Connolly Park after sloppy defending at a corner, Kesh responded with Cashel’s first of the day.

A poor pass out from the back by Omagh Hospitals was intercepted and Cashel was put through, with the striker making no mistake.

It was much needed goal for the home side before the half time whistle, 1-1 at the break.

The second half saw Kesh dominate and they went on to claim four more goals.

Cashel again the scorer as he got on the end of a low cross into the box, controlled and flicked the ball over the oncoming Hospitals keeper.

And it was Cashel again who made it 3-1 and completed his hattrick.

Jordan Flack played the ball through for Ryan Campbell to pick up on the end line out on the left. And his pin point cross found Cashel at the back post who rose above the defender and powered his header to the back of the net to leave Kesh firmly in control.

But the scoring was finished just yet for Kesh and they duly hit their fourth of the game.Ryan Beatty played a great ball out to Campbell on the left and he provided the assist again.

His low cross was volleyed into the net by Lee Walker who did extremely well to wrap his foot around the ball as he was falling to the ground.

The day got even more miserable for Hospitals when one of their players put the ball in his own net to make it 5-1 and round off the scoring on the day.

Next up for Kesh is the visit of Enniskillen Rangers while Omagh Hospitals welcome Enniskillen Athletic in what is a vital game for both sides in the bid to avoid the drop.
