Down 2-13 Fermanagh 0-07

Fermanagh exited this year's Ulster U20 Championship following a 2-13 to 0-07 defeat to Down at Pairc Esler tonight.

Down started and finished with a goal and for the majority of what went inbetween they dictated things to run out comfortable winners.

The home side had the ball in the net after only 45 seconds when Adam Crimmins slotted home and by the midway stage of the half the Mournemen had built up a 1-04 to 0-01 advantage, the Fermanagh point coming from a Fionan O'Brien free.

A Jack Murtagh free increased the lead out to seven points but Fermanagh enjoyed plenty of possession between this and the break although they failed to turn some good positions and chances into scores with an Odhran Johnston point all they had to show for this.

And Down finished the half with quick fire points form Odhran Murdock and Oisin Savage to leave it 1-07 to 0-02.

Murtagh and Savage added on points on the resumption before O'Brien and Michael Flanagan replied for Fermanagh but Down were never in any trouble with Savage and Murdock chipping in with points to push them into a 1-12 to 0-04 lead.

O'Brien landed three further frees to bring his tally to 0-05 for the night but Down wrapped things up with a Savage goal to ease them through to the semi-finals.
