ENNISKILLEN Gaels manager Simon Bradley was pleased with the performance of his side as they rounded off the group stage by making it three wins out of three.

Having already topped the group prior to the game there was nothing really at stake for Enniskillen but Bradley was pleased with their display and also to have got out of it with no injuries or suspensions.

“It was a challenge for us in a sense that we were never in that position in this format of the championship were we had a dead rubber and we were waiting to see what way we would respond but we were happy with what we did.

“We picked up no injuries which was pleasing and we were happy with our discipline and I thought the referee did a good job in difficult conditions,” he added.

Bradley also took the opportunity to get game time for some of his squad but knows that it is those who haven’t played who will be key if they are to progress further in the competition.

“It was good to get some lads a game but we are aware that there is a lot of our boys who haven’t played any championship football. We are aiming to give them a run out over the next couple of weeks because they are key for us to prepare for the semi-final.”

Devenish joint manager Barry Mulrone admitted that it was a difficult afternoon for his side.

“It was tough conditions, a tough game and a tough result. I thought we started well and had a pretty decent first-half in general but in the second-half Enniskillen made life very difficult for us to get any rhythm in the game. They were just better on the day,” he said.

Devenish will now face a relegation play-off against the loser of this weekend’s Roslea v Belnaleck contest and Mulrone knows that the result is all that matters in that game.

“It is a huge game for us. It will be interesting to see how Roslea and Belnaleck get on this week and then we’ll dust ourselves down and get ready for that. It is one of those games that nobody wants to be involved in, I’ve been involved in these games before and they are never enjoyable or pretty so you have to have the right attitude going into them. It will be all about getting the win at any cost,” he said.
