The Irish Youth and Senior Summer National Championships 2023 competition will be the season finale for Enniskillen Lakelander swimmers with seven Lakelanders achieving the standards required to compete in the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin.

Kiril Chursin (17) has qualified to race in four events; 50m & 100m Breaststroke and 50m & 100m Freestyle.

Vita Lavrenova (16) will compete in the 50m Freestyle event.

Anna McDade (17), having raced in several National events throughout the season looks forward to competing in the 50m, 100m & 200m Breaststroke, 50m & 100m Freestyle and the 200m Individual Medley events.

Younger sister Kate McDade (15) also has a busy competition schedule ahead with entries for 50m, 100m & 200m Breaststroke, 50m, 100m, 200m & 800m Freestyle and the 200m Individual Medley.

James Mongan (16) is looking forward to competing in the 100m & 200m Backstroke and the 200m Breaststroke races.

Niamh O’Donnell (15) has qualified to race in the 50m Freestyle and the 100m Backstroke events.

Emilie Reihill (17) is competing across three events; 50m, 100m and 200m Freestyle.

Club Chairperson Aideen Speer commended all the swimmers on their hard work and dedication to their sport and hoped that they would be rewarded with much fruit for their labour.

The Lakelanders Committee would also like to thank the coaching team led by Ben Wiffen for their outstanding work with the swimmers and the Lough Erne Resort for their generous support of the Club throughout the year, culminating in supporting the National Squad with sponsorship of the National Kit.
