JAMES CULLEN

Published on 02/03/2017

CULLEN James John, Kathleen and their families thank all who supported them during Jim’s recent illness and death. We are especially grateful to all levels of Staff in Ward 5 SWAH for the excellent care provided to Jim and for their kindness and consideration to us. The attendance of the Chaplaincy team, especially Mons Peter Reilly, Fr Joe McVeigh and Sr Wang provided solace to all. To all Jim’s Friends, Neighbours, Volunteers, Carers, Drivers, Domicillary Nursing Team, Dr Smith’s Surgery, Drumhaw Centre Staff and Carson’s Pharmacy we offer a big thank you. To those who attended the Wake and Funeral, phoned, sent sympathy or Mass cards, donations in lieu of flowers or provided refreshments, we sincerely thank you. We appreciated all who travelled long distances to support us. We thank Canon J Mullin and Fr K Duffy for their attendance at the Wake and their comforting prayers. A special word of appreciation to Mons S Cahill for his inspiring Funeral Mass and kind words which bore testimony to both Jim’s faith and his love of sport. The chosen hymns and singing by St Mary’s Church Choir were a fitting tribute to Jim’s many years as a Choir Member. We were honoured by St Mary’s GFC Members’ Guard of Honour at the Church and the testimony to Jim on the Club Website and in the Local Press. In addition, we extend thanks to Members of Maguiresbridge District Angling Club for their condolences. We were touched by the presence of Jim’s former Factory Work Colleagues. We thank the St Mary’s Parochial Hall and the Donn Carragh Hotel for refreshments after the Funeral. Sincere gratitude to Swift and McCaffrey, for the dignified and caring manner in which they conducted the entire Funeral arrangements. We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Jim’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Sunday 5th March in St Mary’s Church, Maguiresbridge.
