O'HANLON Josie 28 Pound Street, Irvinestown Died 9th July 2017 The wife Mary, daughter Catherine, sons Dermot, Joe and Barry, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and extended family of the late Josie O'Hanlon would like to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us following our recent sad bereavement. We would like to thank all who called at our home, attended the removal and Funeral Mass. Thank you to those who travelled long distances, telephoned, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, messages of support and brought gifts. A special thank you to our family, friends and neighbours and all who helped during the wake. Thank you to The Legion of Mary for praying with us and leading The Rosary in our home. Also thank you to John Corrigan Centra, Ryan McCauley Supervalu and Fabian McAleer, McAleer's Spar, for bringing food and refreshments to the house. Thank you to Mahons Hotel for providing chairs, refreshments and the lovely meal. We would like to thank St Molaise GAA club for providing a Guard of Honour as Josie's remains were brought into the church. To the doctors and staff of Irvinestown Health Centre and Brendan Lilley and staff, thank you for the support and care you showed to Josie over the years. A special word of thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Ward 3, South West Acute Hospital, who cared for Josie during the final weeks of his life. We gratefully appreciate your kindness. A very special thank you to our Parish Priest, Canon Michael McGourty for your friendship to Josie and your visits and attendance during his short illness. We the family took great comfort from the beautiful Funeral Mass and moving homily which was a true and fitting reflection of the person that Josie was and how he lived his life. We are truly grateful for your support before and since Josie's death. Also thank you to Fr Artie McCann and Fr Niall Greene for con celebrating the Funeral Mass. A special word of thanks to Mrs Aideen McGirr and Sacred Heart Church choir for the beautiful singing and music during the funeral. Also thanks to the readers, altar servers, Eucharist Ministers, sacristan and all who took part in the Liturgy. Thank you to The Sacred Heart Church Funeral Committee, George Beacom and his staff at The Bawnacre Centre for providing tea and refreshments after the funeral. We would like to express our sincere thanks and acknowledge the wonderful piece Lily Dane wrote in the Impartial Reporter following Josie's death, it was an accurate and wonderful tribute to a remarkable man. We would also like to thank Ray Sanderson for publishing Josie's moving obituary in the Fermanagh Herald. Thank you to the grave diggers who prepared Josie's final resting place. Finally we the family, wish to express our sincere thanks to Jim Barnett and Pat Britton, Funeral Directors who carried out Josie's funeral arrangement in a professional, dignified and sensitive manner. Josie was a life long, dedicated member of St Vincent de Paul and in his memory we pray that those who can, support this worthwhile charitable society through prayer, help and donation. As it is impossible to thank everyone, please accept this as a token of our sincere and heartfelt appreciation. Josie's Month Mind Mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church, Irvinestown on Friday 11th August at 7.30 pm.
