A large gathering attended the Rotary Club of Enniskillen’s New Year luncheon at the Killyhevlin Hotel recently. The welcome to Enniskillen Rotarians and friends was extended by the President of the Enniskillen Club, Mr. Kenny Fisher, who was joined at the event by a number of special guests.

The New Year message was delivered by the Rev. John Beacom, of Ballinamallard Methodist Circuit. He commended the Club “for their fundraising work and their giving and their dedication to other causes.”

The core of Mr. Beacom’s message was “what we can achieve when people come together and work together for a common good.”

The opening prayer was delivered by Archdeacon Brian Harper, who was accompanied at the luncheon by the Rev. Mark Gallagher, also of Magheracross Parish Church.

Guests at the event last Monday afternoon included members of the Press, and also Ms Julie Murphy, Principal of Willowbridge School. President Kenny Fisher’s main fund-raising project for the year is the purchase of a new minibus for the school.

The outgoing President of Enniskillen Probus Club, Mr. Mervyn Simpson was joined at the New Year dinner by Mr. Iain Kennedy, outgoing Vice President, who took up his new office as Probus President last week.
