AS part of next week’s Project St. Patrick festival programme, people are being invited to freely attend an highly interesting evening of casual chat on offer at Fermanagh House on Thursday, March 16 at 7.30pm with Benny Cassidy, the founder of the“Old Enniskillen” Facebook page.

Organized by Jim Ledwith as part of his people-centred research into “people and place” of North Enniskillen, a slideshow of old Enniskillen photographs will stimulate conversations into addressing the rapid pace of physical and societal change which Enniskillen as a whole is undergoing.

The “Old Enniskillen” Facebook page has just celebrated an outstanding first year with 14,500 actual members and with an audience reach of 250,000 throughout the world.

An informal evening of good chat is guaranteed which highlights the human stories from “unsung heroes of Enniskillen”, such as Marian Haggins and Stephen Kettyles.

The Project St. Patrick’s volunteer committee will spare the time on the eve of the street parade to contribute to the planned unique evening of chit chat and highlight why the St. Patrick’s festival continues to be wholly a unique community driven success in drawing thousands of people from both the main traditions, as well as new residents into the town centre offering a chance for neighbour to meet neighbour.

Admission is free, with coffee and tea to hand, for what will be an interesting first night of open conversations in what makes Enniskillen people “tick”.
