A JEEP was set on fire outside a Fermanagh hotel in a suspected arson attack yesterday (Wednesday) evening, the PSNI have revealed.

A police spokesperson said it was reported shortly before 11.45pm that a Black Nissan Navara Jeep parked outside the hotel on Killadeas Road had been set on fire.

It is understood that the incident occurred outside the Manor House Country Hotel.

The PSNI spokesperson said: “The car was extensively damaged as a result of this. Extensive damage was also caused to a grey Peugeot 407 which was parked alongside the vehicle during the incident.

“A small silver/grey coloured car was seen speeding off from the car park, with its lights off, before turning left onto the Killadeas Road in the direction of Kesh.”

Police say they are treating the incident as suspected arson.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers in Enniskillen on 101, quoting reference number 1385 of 15/03/17.

“Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111,” the spokesperson added.
