Work on the new memorial to the 12 victims of the 1987 Enniskillen bomb is expected to begin at the start of September.
Stone Mason A.S McConnell will complete the memorial which is due to be unveiled on the 30th anniversary of the bomb this November.
The most recent artist ‘s impressions of the memorial, which will be black upon completion, show that it will be situated on a section of private footpath beside the entrance to the Clinton Centre.
The Ely Centre, which is behind the plans for the memorial, has reached its fundraising target of £15,000 and it will hold a sponsored skydive in September. All funds raised will go towards the costs associated with the 30th anniversary Memorial Service. Any money remaining will go into the Enniskillen Memorial Maintenance Fund to ensure that the memorial is maintained for many years to come.
Preparations for the event, which will be similar to the 25th Anniversary, are underway.

Last week we published an artist's impression of the proposed memorial which had been created by the Ely Centre and was available on the Centre's website. This image listed the names of the victims of the Enniskillen bombing. Jessie Johnston's name as it appeared in the image included a typing error. We apologise for any offence or upset caused.
