Mr. Mahon was awarded the BEM in June as part of this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
He was nominated for the prestigious honour for his services to charity and cross community relations in Irvinestown.
Over the course of two decades, the owner of Mahon’s Hotel, who is a great pal of Hugo Duncan, has helped to raise over £800,000 for cancer charity, Marie Curie.
