A deliberate fire at a shed in Enniskillen on Tuesday night sent a ploom of black smoke over the Sligo Road, hours after a fire at a playground a few yards down the road.
It was the fourth incident of this kind in the area in the past week.
There has so far been no indication that any of the incidents are linked.
It’s understood discarded materials had been set on fire inside the shed in the incident reported around 8.46pm while at the playground in the Drumawill area rubbish and branches were ablaze when firefighters arrived over an hour before.
It is an “ongoing issue” in the area, said a source.
A spokeswoman for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that both incidents are being treated as “deliberate.”
Last weekend a car was deliberately set on fire after it crashed into a field just outside Enniskillen.
Two appliances from the Enniskillen Fire Station were called to deal with the incident just after midday on the Sligo Road while a house on the same road a fire destroyed a bungalow in the early hours and was “deliberate” according to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
Flames were spotted leaping from the roof of the detached property at around 3.04am.
It’s understood the family who live there were away at the time.
Democratic Unionist Councillor for the area Keith Elliott has said the “recent spate of anti-social behaviour” has caused “deep anger within this community.”
“This part of Enniskillen is home to many young people, pensioners and disabled who are furious that individuals are causing such reckless damage. What might seem like minor damage to some, has caused huge damage to those wish to live in a quiet and safe neighbourhood.
“I would ask that everyone remains vigilant and that any suspicious behaviour is reported to the PSNI,” he said.
