In the heart of Enniskillen, the cobbled courtyard of the Buttermarket will be transformed into a open-air music venue for an alternative Culture Night offering on Friday September 21.

Live music will begin around 7.30pm, as local musicians take to the artistically decorated stage which will encapsulate the mystical aesthetics of an ‘enchanted forest’ through the creative use of lighting and other atmospheric visuals.

Performers will have the freedom to experiment and explore, breaking away from the expected as they showcase original material and one-off collaborations. Mark Healy and Dan Reihill will join forces on the night as they juxtapose original guitar-led songs with rap. Luke Beirne will show his contemporary take on classical piano and singer-songwriter Elana Mulligan will perform her original acoustic songs.

Three-piece band 100 Forests, featuring Scott Ramsey (singer and guitarist), Fergus Slevin (drummer) and Joel Gundry (bass) will bring their own original material and indescribable sound back to the Buttermarket for an unmissable performance. Having formed over 20 years ago, the band continues to play far and wide, taking musical inspiration from an eclectic mixture of influences.

The night has been organised by Icarus Endeavours, a collective of creative minds consisting of Holly Sturgeon, Mark Healy and Roksana Dawidowska who are striving to promote the local independent music scene through their range of fringe events.

Everyone is welcome to this free event so come and enjoy an authentic evening of culture in the town’s creative centre.
