A CHERISHED six-year-old who sadly passed away after a battle with illness was "full of positive energy".

Sadie Hussey, from Boho, passed away peacefully at home in the tender loving care of her family on Monday. 

The news has plunged the local community into mourning, with tributes pouring in for "the heavenly princess of Boho".

Boho Hall, where Sadie took part in many activities, said she was a "typical, fun-loving girl."

"Along with her sisters, Sadie was a vibrant part of the Boho community," a tribute read.

"They enjoyed all the activities offered at Boho Hall and attended the play park regularly with their family and friends. 

"A typical fun-loving little girl, Sadie was known for her love of Barbie and the colour pink which brought happiness into her life.

"May Sadie’s memory live on forever, in the hearts of all who knew and loved her."

Meanwhile, Derrygonnelly Harps, with whom Sadie's family have close connections, has suspended activities until further notice. 

"We only met Sadie briefly last year, but it was clear she was a lovely bright girl, full of positive energy," a tribute read, which extended condolences to her parents, siblings and family circle. 

"We extend our condolences also to all of her fellow pupils and the staff at Killyhommon Primary School, who have also lost one of their own," the statement added. 

Kinawley Brian Boru’s GAA club also paid tribute, stating that they are "extremely saddened and sore to hear of the untimely passing".

Requiem Mass will take place on Friday at 11am, followed by interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery Boho.

She was a darling daughter of Sean and Charlene (nee McGrath), a loving sister of Rose and Molly, and a dearly loved grandchild of Pat and Bridget McGrath and Michael and Jean Hussey. 

She was also a loved and cherished niece to Sinead Mangan (John), Roisin McKeegan (Paul), Kevin (Nichola), Ryan (Charlene) and her late auntie Sharon.

An excerpt from Funeral Times said that Sadie will be "loved forever by her parents Charlene and Sean, her sisters Rose and Molly, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours."
