Local breeders and exhibitors took a share of the rosettes at The National Charolais Show in Fintona on Saturday.

Attracting 100 entries, the classes were judged by Scottish livestock enthusiast, Michael Durno of Glenlivet found his respective male and female champions in Coolnaslee Ivanhoe and Bessiebell Incredible.

A line up of eight entries in the pairs section was led by a couple of upcoming heifers from Harold Stubbs and his grandson, Alan Burleigh, Lisnaskea, Fermanagh.

Derryharney Jazzypants was a seven month old Blelack Digger daughter whilst team mate, Derryharney Jaffa was a five month old by Derryharney Outstanding.

Standing below them in reserve place was Killadeas Inverness and Killadeas Ireland from father and son team, Stuart and David Bothwell, Ballina Mallard, Fermanagh.

In the Animax Young Handler section, the winner in the junior class was Oisin Quigley with James Morrison second and Clarke Balfour third. The supreme commercial champion was exhibited by Alan Veitch from Lisbellaw. More photos in next week’s issue.
