The sudden passing occurred on October 2, 2015, of Tilly Ann Walker at home, 25 Meelbawn Road, Lack, following a long illness.

Tilly was born on January 9, 2009 and attended Ederney Community Nursery and then Irvinestown Controlled Primary School. Tilly was first diagnosed in March 2011 aged two years. In her short life, Tilly enjoyed life to the full. Tilly touched the hearts of many people of all ages with her charm, intelligence and fun, sense of humour. She was well known in the local community and far afield.

Our memory of Tilly is not of her suffering, but of her little character, her cheeky laughter, her bravery and her determination for life.

Tilly had a great way with animals, her dog Coco, Molly her hen and Snow Fluff her kitten, all who received her loving affection. She loved nothing more than family and friends calling to see her.

School was a big part of Tilly’s life where she attended right up until the end. At school and home Tilly was the centre of attention and had everyone wrapped around her little finger.

Tilly is survived by her parents Gordon and Evelyn and her brothers Dara and Jordan.

The funeral service was held in Derryvullen North, Irvinestown, and was conducted by the Rev. Alan Irwin. The organist was Florence Barrett and soloist was Niall Donnelly who sang Jealous of the Angels and Photograph. The hymns were ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful,’ ‘My God is so big’ and ‘The Lord is my Shepherd.’ The readings were by Dr. Margaret Knox, Eileen Cutler and also Mary Griffin (Tilly’s classroom assistant).

The burial was in Townhill graveyard and tea was provided by the ladies of the church in the adjoining hall.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by F. G. McFarland and Sons, Letterboy Road, Kesh.
