Mr. Thomas Robert Acheson

The death took place at the Erne Hospital, Enniskillen on May 29 of Thomas Robert Acheson (Bob), the third in the family of seven children of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Acheson, Meenagleragh, Derrygonnelly.

Born in December, 1914, Bob did what most farmer's sons did at that time, worked on the family farm. He had a great love of cattle and liked attending the old time fair days. He liked to reminisce about walking cattle to Enniskillen fair which was held on the 10th day of each month.

In the later part of his life he and his brother Willie moved to farm at Cosbystown, where he remained active until his death.

He was a regular attender at Inishmacsaint Parish Church until a short time before his death. He was also a member of Meenagleragh L.O.L. 896.

He was pre-deceased by his two brothers Eddie and Willie and sister Annie. He is survived by his three sisters Jane, Katie and Lily, two sisters-in-law and nephews and nieces. The funeral service which was conducted by Canon Bourke was in Inishmacsaint Parish Church and burial was in the adjoining graveyard.

Funeral arrangements were by W.T. Morrison, Darling Street, Enniskillen.
