Much shock and sadness have been expressed following the recent death, which occurred tragically at his farm of Mr. Robert Joseph Brown, late of Knockmanowl, Ballinamallard. He previously would have been a very active figure.

Born at Dreigh, Trillick, Co. Tyrone, he was a son of Robert Brown and Frances Jean Brown, who had a family of three. Robert’s sister Pearl Margaret Brown and his brother John Brown survive him.

Robert attended Mullaghmeen School and he then went to the Technical College, Enniskillen.

He pursued a life long career in farming, a passion he continued until his passing.

His interests included going on bus trips around Ireland and he liked going to Balmoral Show.

He was a member of Ballinamallard Methodist Church. Another interest had been Soldiers’ of the Cross activities and events. His funeral service at Ballinamallard Methodist Church was conducted by the Rev. John Beacom.

The hymns were ‘Shall We Gather at the River’ and ‘How Great Thou Art’.

Robert is survived by his sister, Pearl Margaret, Knockmanowl, and his brother John and wife Christine, Yorkshire, and their daughters Claire and Lindsay. He leaves the wider family circle and his friends.

He was predeceased by his mother Frances Jean Brown on May 12, 2011, and by his father Robert Brown on December 19, 1981.

The family is very thankful to everyone for their support at this time.

The funeral arrangements were by Funeral Directors, S.R. Elliott and Sons, Darling Street, Enniskillen.
