Sinn Fein have confirmed that Dungannon Councillor Bronwyn McGahan has officially been selected to replace Michelle Gildernew as MLA for Fermanagh and South Tyrone

She was selected by party members last night (Wednesday) after Ms. Gildernew stood down from the Stormont Assembly to focus on her Westminster duties.

Last night the former Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA tweeted a message of support to her Stormont replacement.

"Comhghairdeas Bronwyn McGahon the new MLA for Fermanagh South Tyrone, adh mor agus maith thu. Good luck".
