A family atmosphere in Enniskillen during the Meet Me Down The Town Festival with Willie Balfour (left) and his daughters.

Hundreds met down the town in Enniskillen yesterday (Thursday) when Enniskillen Town Festival took to the streets of the county town.

Activities and events took place from 2pm right to 10pm as the main thoroughfare was blocked off to traffic and Enniskillen was turned into a pedestrian-only zone for the "Meet me Down the Town" event.

Children thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy slide, a play mobile and bouncy castle and face painting also proved to be very popular.

The Diamond came alive with music and there was highland dancing among the many performances.

Local restaurants and cafes set up stalls selling delicious wares and the candy floss stand was also extremely busy.

As day turned to evening, bands played on the main thoroughfare of Enniskillen.
