Devenish and Erne Gaels booked their place in the quarter-final of the McMahon's Healthcare Fermanagh SFC with victories over Tempo and Enniskillen respectively in tonight's double header in Derrygonnelly .

Goalkeeper Thomas Treacy was the hero for Devenish as they knocked out a fancied Tempo outfit in the opening game of the evening.

With the sides level at 0-10 apiece, Treacy stepped up to thump over a '45 and two long range frees before Terry O'Flanagan added the insurance point to steer the Garrison side through.

The first half was a close affair with only a point dividing the sides at the break, Devenish leading 0-06 to 0-05.

And it remained tight in the second half although when Tempo got their noses in front for the first time midway through the half it appeared that they would push on for the win.

Treacy though drilled over a '45 to level up proceedings before Ryan Bogue nudged Tempo back ahead with 14 minutes to go.

However, this was the Maguires last point of the game as Devenish registered the final five points to seal a deserved win, 0-14 to 0-10.

Erne Gaels were the other winners on the night as Thomas McCaffrey bagged both their goals in a 2-08 to 0-06 win over Enniskillen Gaels.

A 1-03 burst in a four minutes spell midway through the first half put the Belleek side into a 1-04 to 0-01 lead although Enniskillen rallied in the latter stages of the half to leave it 1-05 to 0-04 at the break.

Enniskillen did see plenty of the ball in the second half but they lacked the incision to breakdown a well drilled Erne Gaels defence and McCaffrey ensured the Belleek outfits progression with a goal in the final minute to leave it 2-08 to 0-06 at the finish.
